Inspiration/Meaning :  A  griot  (pronounced  gree-oh or gree-ot ) is a   West African  travelling historian, storyteller, praise singer, poet and/or musician. The griot is a keeper of  oral tradition . Real T@lk identifies as a griot; not only is he an artist, but he's African-American. Most African-Americans are descendants of slaves that were originally taken from West Africa, hence... " Memoirs Of A Modern-Day Griot ".
